Software engineer (freelance), AgExpress
Since February 2026 Devkota has worked remotely as a freelance backend and infrastructure engineer for AgExpress Cargo, an international cargo and freight platform serving 92 branches in six countries. He built its continuous-integration and deployment pipeline from scratch, using GitHub Actions to publish Docker images to Google Artifact Registry through Workload Identity Federation and deploying them with Docker Compose behind Nginx.
He integrated United States customs Automated Manifest System (AMS) filing through the IBC PacTrak API, and delivered partner and lead management with a territory-resolution engine, backed by PostGIS boundaries for Nepal and Hong Kong, that routes incoming franchise applications by country, province and district on a most-specific-wins rule. The platform is written in NestJS and Next.js with PostgreSQL and TypeORM.
The delivery pipeline is designed for working with coding agents: every pull request gets its own preview environment with a copy of production data restored from a sanitised nightly seed, migrations run in isolation before containers are swapped, a comment-driven merge bot preserves agent co-authorship, production deploys wait for manual approval and roll back on failed health checks, and an in-app issue-capture feature is planned so that staff reports carry enough context for an agent to act on them without a conversation.12

Backend, staff dashboard and delivery pipeline for a Hong Kong-based logistics company serving the Nepali diaspora: US customs AMS filing, PostGIS territory routing for partner onboarding, per-PR preview environments, approval-gated production deploys.
