Devkota joined Nepal Digital Systems (NDS), a Kathmandu embedded-systems and IoT company, as a contractor in September 2023 to build a device-local web interface for Hypnotik, a United States lighting company whose controllers run WLED firmware on ESP32 microcontrollers. Because firmware flash space was tight, the interface was written in plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript and compiled into the C firmware build, with WebSocket control and both station and access-point Wi-Fi modes. He also built the company's website at hypnotik.io.¹²
