From December 2024 he was employed full-time as a senior software engineer. His principal work was the Terminal Management System (TMS) for Sikha Tech, the company behind certified MiniSR point-of-sale devices used by Nepali banks. Working essentially alone with AI-assisted tooling, he gathered requirements, designed the PostgreSQL schema, wrote the Next.js and Prisma backend and the React interface, and built the AWS infrastructure: IoT Core with provision-by-claim certificates, MQTT-triggered Lambda functions, SigV4-signed WebSocket log streaming, API Gateway, Cognito, CloudFormation and CloudWatch. When Lambda concurrency exhausted database connections he introduced RDS Proxy, read replicas and SQS write buffering. The system handles firmware delivery, TLV parameter configuration, transaction-log ingestion, heartbeats and role-based access for administrators, banks, merchants and field staff, and went live at Nabil Bank and Prime Bank on more than fifty terminals within about six months. A Soundbox subsystem relays static-QR payment notifications from FonePay, NepalPay and SmartQR to merchant devices.

For Smart Choice Technologies (SCT) he built the Card Activation Terminal (CAT) platform, which lets a bank customer activate a new card and set its PIN on a handheld terminal at the service desk instead of at an ATM, replacing a 30–45 minute Green-PIN process. It uses Cognito-authorised HTTP APIs, DynamoDB, fleet provisioning and over-the-air firmware updates through presigned S3 URLs, and is live across SCT member institutions. In the same period he built and ran Shopify storefronts for Hypnotik and Steel Cut Design as a single two-brand store, and resolved a Chronopost–Sendcloud fulfilment failure for the French retailer France Croquettes.^1234567

Card Activation Terminal (CAT)

Handheld-terminal platform that activates a bank card and sets its PIN at the service desk in seconds, replacing an ATM-based Green-PIN process. Cognito-authorised APIs, DynamoDB, IoT fleet provisioning with claim certificates and over-the-air updates. Live across SCT member institutions.

Terminal Management System (TMS)

Fleet-management platform for certified point-of-sale terminals: provisioning, firmware delivery, parameter configuration, transaction logs, heartbeats and role-based access. Live at Nabil Bank and Prime Bank on more than fifty terminals; built in about six months by a single engineer.
